While we wrap up the interviews and edit our first articles for our Supplier Spotlight, check out the great companies we will be focusing on. Some of these suppliers are our personal favorites that we’ve relied on for years, while others are more recent discoveries. Either way we’re excited about bringing them to your attention.

So how does a company get on our list?

Word-of-mouth advertising is still king. We believe strongly in the referral system; breaking into a tight network of like-minded companies is golden. When the question is asked of a valued supplier “Who would you recommend for….” and a company name is provided, we figure they stand out from the crowd and are worth checking out.

The companies we list are unique in some way: they represent a great quality in their industry, they have a product line that’s uncommon and interesting, or we have personally done business with them and want to provide our recommendation. Not all companies on our list have been personally checked out, but we’re working on it.
